Shade the Chaos Chao

Attacks:
Quick Shift: Using a Dark Fruit once a topic Shade may shift himself into a dark chao instead of a neutral one. This allows him to gain a feature a neutral chao would not normally have which is the spike ball above his head, he gains no other dark chao features. The spike ball can be thrown at the enemy for heavy damage as there are spikes on it. After it's used it takes five posts before it can be used again.

Karate Kick: After watching chao karate matches Shade learned how to do this. It does moderate damage and it takes two posts before it can be used again.

Cowardly Slap: If all other options seem to be pointless Shade can sneak behind the enemy and attempt a cowardly slap. While the slap only does light damage it has the least possible chance of being blocked or dodged or at least in his eyes it seems that way.

Personality: Shade is somewhat shy to strangers. If you can get past that though he can be a really great friend to other pets and in some cases other people. He gets along with other chao very well and is very supportive of them unless what they are doing can harm or in any way sabotage Zero. He can be stubborn sometimes and sometimes even vice versa to that making him unpredictible in some cases. Without a doubt Shade is a unique chao.

Description: Shade is a white chao with light blue hands with green eyes. He of course like many other chaos chao resemble Chaos Zero and is a neutral chao looking the most like him of all types of chaos chao. He has an orange orb instead of a spiky ball or a holographic halo which floats around the top of his head. That's pretty much all to him.

History:

Shade grew up in a public chao garden before entering where the worlds clashed. It was a newly built chao garden for chao of all types to be raised there if they did not have an owner and was located in the Chao World however would not let anybody but the servants in. There he was raised perfectly as an example to all other chao in the garden that they could do anything if they put their minds to it. He was often brought to chao karate matches and in some cases even entered in them winning all he was entered in. His life was filled with happiness and the second time he evolved he was raised to be a chaos chao, a chao that could never die out of age. After success he spent a few more months living his life there until one sad day for him... One day the chao garden grew to full, he had been raised longer than any of them and sadly was sent to a forest. There he lived his life but had to learn to fight as a few wild animals such as bears infested the forests and often would attempt to hurt him. Eventually the amount of wild animals increased around the forest and he quickly went into hiding, living life now scared and cold.

One fateful day however a black portal appeared and upon entering it he was brought to where the worlds clashed. This was at the same time as Zero had entered here and the hedgehog now ran stopping at the chao than looked at it. He continued to run forward and heard footsteps behind him after looking behind him the chao was following him. He repeated this several times only to realize the chao continued to follow him. Just as he was about to tell it to leave him alone he realized something, this chao was defenseless. Normally he wouldn't care about such a thing however it could prove to be useful to him, even if it was a mere chao. Not only would he be cruel to leave the chao alone here but he could also be missing out on having an ally that could help him in battle as well as keep him company. Deciding to raise the chao from now on he kept it was a pet and now cares for it.

Okay other than the attacks I see nothing wrong, as I stated in the template moderate to high damage attacks require a cooldown period to avoid any rapid use of them.

So based on what I read I can break it down like this

Quick Shift: Heavy Damage with a 5 post cooldown since it a single target attack.

Karate Kick: Moderate damage with a 2 post cooldown since it is a single target attack and close range.

Cowardly Slap: Light Damage and no cooldown.

So to fix replace 'for a lot of damage' with 'causing heavy damage' in the Quick Shift description along with putting the cooldown length at the very end of it. Also you can remove the once per topic part as well, fine with it being used once per 5 post.

So on and so forth, just easier if we use the same damage amount descriptors to keep things from getting misunderstood. Good job none the less.
